Trainee Dispenser

Trainee Dispenser – Hourly Role (£13.12 - £15.10/hour)

As a Trainee Dispenser, you’ll play a key role in supporting the pharmacy team and delivering safe, efficient healthcare services.

About The Opportunity

You’ll train on-the-job whilst working within a store’s healthcare department, completing your Dispenser NVQ2 qualification. Your tasks will include:

  • Greeting patients and addressing their needs
  • Dispensing prescriptions accurately (ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection)
  • Providing medical advice and guidance
  • Managing repeat prescriptions and ensuring medicine adherence

This is a store-based role. Remote applicants are not considered, and UK legal residency is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training
  • Dispense prescriptions safely, managing inventory and customer transactions
  • Assist healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services
  • Provide patient care, advice, and symptom management
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance
  • Adapt to evolving systems that enhance patient safety
  • Learn and apply new healthcare knowledge through ongoing training
