Trainee Dispenser Vacancy

Hourly rates for this role start at £13.12 and extend up to £15.10 in selected locations across London.

No prior experience is required as full training will be fully provided.

About The Opportunity

As a Trainee Dispenser, you’ll be paramount to our pharmacy team, assisting the pharmacist and fellow healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient pharmacy and healthcare services.

Operating within the store’s healthcare sector and completing a Dispenser NVQ2, your role will involve building exceptional patient relations by listening, understanding, and addressing their needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming customers
  • Safely dispensing prescriptions
  • Advising patients to support their health and wellness — all contributing to a positive daily impact.

This role is fully in-store based in the UK; remote applicants will not be considered. International applications will not progress unless the candidate can validate a UK right to work and relevant qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete your Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
  • Dispense prescriptions while ensuring:
    • Safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing)
    • Collection and process management
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage pharmacy services.
  • Advise patients on medicines while escalating complex queries to the pharmacist when necessary.
  • Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for legal, compliant prescriptions dispensing.
  • Continuously update knowledge on innovations and store processes.
  • Support patient autonomy in medicine management including prescription repeats and adherence.
  • Engage with evolving technologies to improve dispensing protocols, optimise safety, and escalate patient-facing interactions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
