It’s time to join the UK’s biggest independent drainage specialist
The Lanes Group have a position available for a Trainee Drainage Engineer, to join our growing depot network in Birmingham.
About You
- You’re a hard worker seeking to start a career in the drainage industry.
- You’re polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public.
- You observe all health and safety procedures.
- You will also have a clean Driver's licence.
The Job
- No Drainage experience is necessary as we will train you to the appropriate standard.
- As part of a team, you’ll be shadowing/assisting a drainage engineer.
- The role will include a number of drainage related issues, including emergencies such as blockages and cleaning pipes during maintenance programmes.

What is essential is the ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
We operate 24/7 which means you will be required to be flexible. Full training/PPE/use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our Service Engineers have the right tools, competency and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
