Role Description
The Trainee Driving Instructor role is a full-time, remote position focused on learning and applying best practices in driver training in your area. Day-to-day activities include:

- Participating in training
- Studying instructional materials
- Observing experienced instructors to understand lesson planning and delivery
- Preparing lesson plans
- Practicing how to explain driving theory and road safety
- Learning to assess learner drivers’ skills and progress
- Gradually supporting the delivery of on-road training under supervision
- Following regulatory and safety guidelines
- Maintaining accurate training records

The position also requires:
- Regular communication with mentors and training coordinators
- Ongoing professional development to meet ORDIT-compliant standards
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and support learners of varied experience levels
- Organizational and time-management abilities to plan lessons, manage training schedules, and maintain accurate documentation
- Basic digital literacy, including comfort with remote learning platforms, online resources, and electronic record-keeping
- Commitment to road safety, regulatory compliance, and professional ethics within the driving instruction and logistics environment
- Full, valid UK driving license with a clean driving record and sufficient driving 3+ years experience to progress toward instructor-level competence
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, respond constructively to feedback, and engage in continuous learning
- Prior exposure to training, coaching, customer service, or fleet/logistics operations is beneficial but not essential
