Trainee Engineer Apprentice at North East Automation Limited
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Engineer Apprentice at North East Automation Limited, based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. There is an amazing opportunity to progress and grow within the company for the right candidate.
Duties
- Preparing for installations by reviewing installation orders; gathering equipment, supplies, and tools; coordinating schedules with customers.
- Installing equipment; running and pulling wiring; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
- Testing equipment, connections, and signals; identifying and correcting problems.
- Maintaining records by documenting work.
- Maintaining customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions.
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keeping security information confidential.
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Essential Qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other Requirements
- 3-month probationary period applies.
- Please ensure that you can travel to Dunston, Gateshead for an 08.30 am start.
- Please note you may be required to work at height or in small spaces due to the nature of this work.
- Please note, there will be a review of salary after 6 months of employment.

North East Automation is a young, vibrant, family-owned company with over 50 years combined experience within the electronic security industry. The company was established in the early part of 2002, and specialises in the supply and installation of security systems and access control for both commercial and domestic clients throughout the North East of England. They can supply and install a range of systems including automatic gates, barriers, turnstiles, speed lanes, bollards, electric fence, traffic management systems, perimeter protection systems, CCTV and more.
