Trainee Field Technician
Trainee Field Technician – Water Industry Career Opportunity
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join a company offering full training and support to launch a career in the Water Industry. We’re recruiting for Trainee Field Technicians who will work within your local area, assisting in leak detection activities and pinpointing water leaks. No prior experience is required—training is provided.

Core Responsibilities:
- Deploy and retrieve loggers (small metal listening devices) within District Metered Areas (DMAs)
- Attach loggers to industrial fixtures, typically fire hydrants & valves
- Typically deploy 80-100 loggers per day, retrieve 24 hours later, and download results
- Leak noise monitoring: Loggers capture constant leakage noise (measured in D, between 2:00–4:00 AM, in decibels)
- Manual labour: Involves lifting, stretching, bending, and occasionally driving long hours
Applicants Must:
- Hold a full UK manual car driving licence
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
- Understand this role is based on fieldwork (outdoor/physical demands)
