Trainee Financial Accountant

Trainee Financial Accountant East Leake (Hybrid Working)

At Saint-Gobain Finance Shared Services, we're looking for a Trainee Financial Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate, someone at the beginning of their finance career, who is looking to develop their knowledge within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Working as part of an experienced team, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of financial accounting activities, receive ongoing support with your professional development and build the foundations for a successful career in finance. Our hybrid working model offers the flexibility to balance office collaboration with working from home.

What we're looking for

  • A recent graduate who has a genuine interest in financial accounting and a desire to build a long-term career in finance.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.
  • Good Excel skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
