Trainee Financial Adviser
Northleach, Gloucestershire
Up to £50,000 | Fully Funded Diploma | Structured Pathway to Becoming a Regulated Adviser
Are you already working in financial planning, or have you built a successful career elsewhere and feel ready for something more rewarding?
Perhaps you've started your journey towards becoming a Financial Adviser, or you've developed exceptional client relationship skills in another professional environment.
The opportunity
de Lisle Financial Planning is an established business that prides itself on building long-term relationships with clients, delivering highly personal financial advice, and taking a genuinely client-first approach.
You'll work closely with the Managing Director, an experienced Chartered & Certified Financial Planner, and the Practice Manager, learning the profession from the ground up. This is a role built on substance as much as client contact — you'll get fully immersed in the administration, research, and planning process that underpins every piece of advice, giving you a genuine, practical understanding of how financial planning really works rather than just a surface-level view.
As your knowledge, confidence and qualifications develop, there is the opportunity to progressively take on greater responsibility for client relationships and planning work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
