Exciting career opportunity in your local community! Join us as a Trainee Gas Engineer and play a critical role in keeping people safe and warm. No prior experience is required. We’ll provide all training, equipment, and support to help you develop the skills to repair, replace, and lay new gas mains—ensuring safe and efficient service for millions.
How You’ll Contribute
- Learn from experienced engineers on-site, supporting repairs to gas services and mains
- Excavation and pipework – Work outdoors, including private/public highways, laying and repairing gas pipes as part of a high-functioning team
- 24/7 critical response – Be part of essential works ensuring gas supply remains uninterrupted, with standby and overtime opportunities for irregular hours
- Maintain equipment – Keep SGN tool vans and apparatus fully operational, ensuring safe and efficient work deliveries
