Geography Graduate | Cambridge | September

Are you a high-achieving Geography graduate looking to put your subject knowledge to meaningful use? Have you considered a career in teaching but want to gain valuable classroom experience before committing to teacher training?

This Geography Graduate opportunity in Cambridge provides an exceptional pathway into education. Working alongside an experienced and supportive Humanities department, you'll help pupils develop their geographical knowledge, critical thinking, and confidence, while gaining first-hand experience of life in the classroom. It's the ideal role for aspiring teachers seeking to build the skills, experience, and insight needed for a successful career in education.

This Geography Graduate role has been designed for ambitious graduates who are serious about inspiring young people and exploring a long-term career in education. Working across KS3 and KS4, you'll support classroom learning, deliver targeted interventions and help pupils prepare for GCSE examinations, all while learning from outstanding practitioners.

The school has developed a reputation for investing heavily in graduate development, with many previous graduates progressing onto salaried teacher training and PGCE programmes after successfully completing the academic year.

Full Academic Year | £500–£550 per week

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Promoting high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement

The successful Geography Graduate will:

  • Hold A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) and a BA degree in Geography
  • Have an excellent academic background and genuine passion for Geography
  • Aspire towards a career in secondary teaching
  • Demonstrate confidence, professionalism, and strong communication skills
  • Be committed to making a lasting difference to pupils' education
