About the Role
As a Trainee Lab Technician, you'll:
- Utilise the latest computer-controlled equipment with a strong eye for detail and accuracy
- Maintain high standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
Location
- Primary store: Falkirk High Street
- Well-connected to transport links
- Car parking available nearby
- Occasional travel required to our Grangemouth store
Our Team
- The Optical Lab team consists of 4 members
- Within the store, we have a larger team of ~40 dedicated staff

Responsibilities
You’ll enjoy comprehensive training to correctly execute these tasks:
- Reading lens and frame specifications from prescriptions
- Operating blocking and glazing machines to precisely cut lenses
- Assembling lenses into frames
- Applying tinting to lenses (for UV protection & various colors)
- Ordering frames and lenses
- Conducting quality checks on completed glasses
- Maintaining good housekeeping and equipment
Benefits
Compensation & Hours
- Hourly Rate: Up to £12.91
- Work Schedule: 5 days/week from Monday to Saturday (9am–5.30pm)
- 28 days of annual leave (includes bank holidays)
- Extra day off on your birthday
