Crosby Composites (established in 1982) is the number one composite manufacturer in the UK, excelling in the design and manufacture of high-quality carbon fibre parts. Our global customers cover Formula 1, motorsport but primarily automotive, making components and bodywork for some of the most prestigious and outrageous hyper cars in the world. Our services in supporting this include conceptual design, bespoke tooling and manufacturing (with inhouse state of the art spray painting, kit cutting and multiple large autoclaves).

Measures:
Meeting the mission objectives (detailed above) which are measured and monitored through the data and metrics collected by the company.
Purpose of the job:
To support in manufacturing high-quality Carbon Fibre components and tooling by following established processes and work instructions. This role would suit individuals with experience in precision-based, hands-on work, such as dressmaking, sewing, tailoring, upholstery, textiles, craft production, or similar environments where attention to detail and quality are essential.
Operational Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble components in accordance with work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
- Read and interpret drawings, patterns, templates, or technical information to ensure work is completed accurately.
- Follow route cards, job sheets, and production instructions to meet customer and company requirements.
- Carry out tasks with a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure products meet the required standard.
- Identify and report any issues with materials, instructions, or processes that may affect quality.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve quality, efficiency, and working practices.
- Maintain equipment and tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and quality objectives.

Skills And Experience
We welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills from industries such as dressmaking, tailoring, sewing machine operation, upholstery, textiles, crafts, manufacturing, or other roles requiring manual dexterity and precision.
You will be able to:
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Work methodically and consistently to established procedures and standards.
- Use good hand-eye coordination and manual skills when working with materials and tools.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Manage workload and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
- Show a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Previous composite manufacturing experience is not essential, as full training can be provided for candidates with relevant transferable skills and the right attitude.
