We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our London Legal Department, supporting our Prime Services business. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment while working closely with experienced legal professionals.
You’ll gain exposure to real commercial legal work, develop practical skills, and build a strong foundation for a career in legal or financial services.
About The Role
As a Trainee, you will support the legal team that advises on trading, clearing, and prime brokerage activities. Working under the supervision of qualified lawyers, you will assist with legal documentation, research, and day-to-day legal support, while learning how legal, regulatory, and commercial considerations interact in a global business.
This role combines legal drafting, research, coordination, and project support, offering a broad and practical training experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the drafting and review of legal and commercial agreements
- Supporting lawyers with client documentation and contractual processes
- Managing legal document execution and maintaining accurate records
- Conducting legal and regulatory research on a range of topics
- Supporting client-focused projects and documentation updates
- Assisting with company secretarial and administrative activities
- Working closely with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations

Profile Required
What we’re looking for
- A completed UK law degree (or equivalent legal qualification)
- Strong academic performance and a genuine interest in commercial and financial services law
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach
- Confidence working with stakeholders at different levels
- Prior legal work experience is beneficial
