Start your legal career in financial services

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our London Legal Department, supporting our Prime Services business. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment while working closely with experienced legal professionals.

You’ll gain exposure to real commercial legal work, develop practical skills, and build a strong foundation for a career in legal or financial services.

About The Role

As a Trainee, you will support the legal team that advises on trading, clearing, and prime brokerage activities. Working under the supervision of qualified lawyers, you will assist with legal documentation, research, and day-to-day legal support, while learning how legal, regulatory, and commercial considerations interact in a global business.

This role combines legal drafting, research, coordination, and project support, offering a broad and practical training experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with the drafting and review of legal and commercial agreements
  • Supporting lawyers with client documentation and contractual processes
  • Managing legal document execution and maintaining accurate records
  • Conducting legal and regulatory research on a range of topics
  • Supporting client-focused projects and documentation updates
  • Assisting with company secretarial and administrative activities
  • Working closely with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
