Are you ready to make a splash? We’re seeking enthusiastic Trainee Lifeguards to join our team! This is your chance to launch your lifeguarding career with hands-on training, supportive mentoring, and exciting opportunities to dive into a role that combines physical activity, teamwork, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Grasp essential lifeguarding skills: couvre everything from pool safety protocols to first aid, ensuring you are fully prepared and proactive.
- Monitory swimmers, respond swiftly to incidents, and maintain a safe, welcoming pool environment for guests of all ages.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with swimmers, addressing queries, and offering friendly support where needed.
- Play a role in promoting fun, inclusivity, and wellness in an energetic aquatic setting.

Requirements

Experience: Previous lifeguarding experience is a strong advantage—but not essential. Haven provides comprehensive training to equip you with the skills you need.

Personal attributes:
- A willingness to learn and adapt in fast-paced or challenging situations.
- Sharp, attentive focus with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- A friendly and approachable personality with strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.

Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Swimming proficiency: Before commencing training, candidates must demonstrate the ability to:
- Jump or dive into deep water comfortably.
- Swim 50m in under 60 seconds.
- Swim 100m continuously (alternating front crawl and backstroke) in deep water.
- Tread water for 30 seconds.
- Surface dive to the pool floor.
- Climb out of the pool unassisted (no use of ladders or steps—where pool design permits).

**Background check:**Selected candidates must successfully complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to placement.
