Trainee Lift Engineer ( Scotec )

Mechanical/Electrical Engineer – Transferable Skills Programme

Location: Glasgow/Edinburgh Area

## The Role

We are seeking Mechanical or Electrical Engineers with the ambition to grow their careers in lift technology. As part of our Transferable Skills Programme, you’ll receive world-class training to progress as an independent Lift Engineer in either installation or maintenance.

This programme combines:

  • Training from our experienced Engineers and Technical Department
  • NVQ Level 3 course (either for lift Installation or Maintenance)
  • Hands-on experience working within Orona’s dynamic teams

## What We’re Looking For

You must demonstrate:

  • A background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (academic or vocational)

    • Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
    • Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations (HECA/CISCO)
    • BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (an asset)
  • Attention to detail with strong adherence to safety protocols at all times

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a rapidly evolving field

  • A valid full UK driving license

Minimum Requirements

✔ Mechanical or Electrical qualification (traineeship, degree, or apprenticeship) ✔ UK driving licence ✔ Strong problem-solving mindset in technical environments
