The Trainee Maths Teacher will support the delivery of engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to develop teaching practice alongside experienced colleagues.

The successful Trainee Maths Teacher will hold a strong Mathematics-related degree (2:1 or above preferred), possess excellent subject knowledge and be passionate about inspiring young people.

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils through tutoring, mentoring or schools is desirable
  • The Trainee Maths Teacher should be organised, resilient, enthusiastic and committed to raising attainment for every learner

The academy educates approximately 836 pupils, with around 16% receiving SEN Support and 4% holding EHCPs, creating an inclusive and well-supported learning environment.

Students achieve impressive outcomes, including 49% achieving Grade 5+ in English and Maths GCSEs, while 44% of sixth form leavers progressed to Russell Group universities in 2025, reflecting the academy's high aspirations.
