Job Purpose
To deliver Legionella planned preventative maintenance and related works across various commercial and industrial contracts.

To focus on expected team behaviours that deliver excellent results and outcomes for the business, helping Dalkia maintain its industry-leading position and strong reputation with our customers.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
To carry out the following tasks in line with the requirements of ACOP L8, BS6700 and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations:
- Hot and cold water temperature monitoring
- Shower head cleaning and disinfection
- Calorifier base flushing and temperature checks, including flow and return
- Calorifier internal inspections
- Water sampling
- Tank and downwater services disinfection and chlorination
- TMV testing
- Dead-leg removal
- Cold water tank replacement (not including plumbing)
- Cold water tank lining
- Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection
- Job sheet preparation and completion
- Improvements and upgrades to domestic systems to meet ACOP L8 guidelines
- Additional tasks such as inspections of water storage tanks, hot water boilers, and air conditioning systems
- Participation in the on-call rota

- Assist other trades as needed.
- Attend monthly team meetings as required.
- Provide reports on work and equipment as needed.
- Actively work towards growing the contracts into other service areas, including mechanical and electrical services, replacements, project work, and facilities management services.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties within your skills and experience.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
The knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to this position are:
Essential
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation requirements
- Able to use PDA devices and have basic computer skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with people, including clients, at all levels
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
- Ability to be self-motivated within a team setting and when working alone
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and at height
- Background in legionella control with several years' experience in site monitoring and testing
- Understanding of all legal requirements
- Must live in Dundee/Tayside area, Scotland, or be willing to relocate
Desirable
- Water sampling and testing experience
- Knowledge of pool plant and equipment
- Health and safety training
- Legionella awareness qualification
- Experience with similar maintenance duties, including fault diagnosis and repair
