Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Pharmacist – Oncology/Haematology at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre in Bristol?

Importantly, we welcome applications from pharmacists with hospital experience and a postgraduate diploma who are looking to specialise in oncology. We are able to offer structured training and support to help you develop into this specialist area.
As a Pharmacist – Oncology/Haematology with us, you'll play a pivotal role in providing pharmaceutical expertise and contributing to patient care. You will support the daily running of the Pharmacy Department, ensuring a safe and effective medicines management service for patients, staff, consultants and customers.

What You'll Do
Provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy and medicines management service to oncology patients, ensuring a consistent level of service in line with GenesisCare policies Deliver expert pharmaceutical advice in oncology, with appropriate training and support where required Participate in the procurement, preparation, dispensing and distribution of medicines Undertake clinical checking of chemotherapy and support the final release to nursing staff (with training provided where needed)
What You'll Have
Experience and Skills
Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment A strong interest in oncology/haematology, with support provided to develop specialist knowledge Experience in dispensing medicines and medicines management in a hospital setting Exposure to screening and checking SACT prescriptions (or willingness to train in this area) Experience with electronic prescribing systems Experience of clinical audit and/or practice research Experience supporting the development and implementation of protocols Patient-focused approach with strong counselling skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills High attention to detail, including accurate recording of patient information Good organisational and planning skills

Qualifications And Knowledge
Registered with the GPhC MPharm or BSc Pharmacy Completed pre-registration training Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy (e.g. Clinical Diploma) Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Membership of BOPA (or willingness to work towards this) Independent Prescriber qualification (desirable)
