Role Description

The Trainee Paraplanner role is a full-time remote position supporting financial advisers in delivering high-quality advice to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and analyzing client information
  • Preparing suitability reports
  • Assisting in the construction of financial plans across areas such as investments, pensions, protection, and estate planning
  • Researching products and solutions
  • Maintaining accurate client records
  • Ensuring documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standards

The Trainee Paraplanner will collaborate closely with advisers and administrative teams, respond to client queries where appropriate, and continuously develop technical knowledge and professional skills through training and study.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and research abilities, including the capacity to interpret financial data, understand investment and pension products, and apply regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise reports and explain complex information in an accessible manner.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in document preparation, record keeping, and checking calculations against compliance requirements.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite) and comfort learning financial planning and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development; progress toward or willingness to study for relevant financial planning qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with advisers and support teams, showing integrity, discretion, and a client-focused mindset.
  • Prior experience in financial services, wealth management, or a related field is an advantage but not essential for candidates with strong potential and a willingness to learn.
