Trainee Physics Teacher | Barking and Dagenham
Are you a Physics graduate ready to train as a teacher? A high-performing secondary school with a successful Sixth Form in Barking & Dagenham is seeking a Physics Trainee Teacher to join them on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This Physics Trainee Teacher opportunity offers a salaried teacher training programme, paid on the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale, providing an excellent pathway to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

As a Physics Trainee Teacher, you'll work alongside experienced teachers, gradually taking responsibility for planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons. The successful Physics Trainee Teacher will gain valuable classroom experience while developing the skills required to teach confidently through to A-Level.
Physics Trainee Teacher - Person Specification:
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Physics or a closely related subject from a UK university
- Strong academic record at GCSE and A-Level
- Passion for Physics and a desire to pursue a career in teaching
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability and ambition to teach Physics to A-Level
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
