Trainee Production Engineer

One Big Circle – Bristol

Full-Time 37.5 hours per week (5 days) Salary: £26,500

Role Summary: Trainee Production Engineer

The successful applicant will assist in executing our manufacturing and quality assurance processes, while supporting the maintenance of our facilities. You’ll learn essential manufacturing, testing, and repair skills throughout this role and become proficient in:

  • Using common power and hand tools
  • Reading, interpreting, and understanding electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Manufacturing tasks, including:
    • Building wiring assemblies (soldering, trimming, cutting, crimping)
    • Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
    • Subtractive manufacturing (drilling, grinding)
  • Building and inspecting our products
  • Assembling and calibrating test equipment
  • Identifying components via schematics, part numbers, or descriptions
  • Conducting quality and performance verification
  • Basic diagnoses and repairs of electronic equipment
  • Programming, configuring, and installing software

Key requirements:

  • Punctuality, attention to detail, and the motivation to handle repetitive tasks common in manufacturing.
  • Demonstration of an electronic or mechanical project built independently.
