Description

Overall purpose of the job:

Working as part of the Operations Management team, you will manage programmes across multiple teams within a designated geographical area to ensure resources are fully engaged and operating efficiently.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Management team to ensure projects are allocated to appropriately skilled teams and programmed within the correct timescales.
  • Work closely with the Client's Programme and Scheduling Team to ensure all required permits are in place, maximising productivity and minimising the risk of Section 74 penalties and programme overruns.
  • Capture and report weekly delivery statistics, including completed works and future forecasts.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Management Team, identify any changes to the tendered design and gather supporting evidence for compensation events.
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure compensation events and supporting evidence are submitted within required contractual timescales.
  • Support the production and maintenance of weekly performance dashboards and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily communication with Site Managers to understand the progress and status of all active projects.
  • Work with the Area Manager to develop and maintain a sustainable programme of works for all operational teams.
  • Ensure operatives with the appropriate skills and qualifications are allocated to each project by utilising available skills and competency data.
  • Attend client programme, planning and coordination meetings as required.
  • Liaise with Site Managers and clients to ensure permits are aligned with programme requirements and provide sufficient duration for the completion of works.
  • Provide relevant programme and performance data to the Client Contract Manager when required.
  • Gather and report weekly performance statistics from Site Managers, sharing updates with the wider operational team.
  • Develop, communicate and implement agreed processes and best practices to support operational objectives.
  • Ensure any programme impacts or delays are escalated to the Area Manager and that all supporting evidence is gathered to support any potential compensation event.
  • Attend weekly operational meetings and highlight any risks, concerns or issues that may affect programme delivery and output targets.
  • Support other operational activities necessary to maintain productivity, including (but not limited to) site moves, plant hires/off-hires, breakdowns, and PPE requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
