Role Description
The Trainee Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Rossendale and sites around the North West. The role involves assisting with the measurement and valuation of work, supporting the preparation of quotations and tenders, and helping to manage project costs for internal partitions, suspended ceilings, SFS, and external render packages. - Collecting and reviewing site data
- Updating cost records
- Preparing basic Bills of Quantities under supervision
- Supporting cost reporting for live projects

The trainee will work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers, attend site meetings, and help ensure that projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction processes, ideally related to partitions, ceilings, SFS, or render systems. This is not critical as this is a trainee role and knowledge can be picked up along the way.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and basic Excel skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for working with site teams, suppliers, and project managers.
- Ability to work on-site in Rossendale, manage time effectively, and follow health and safety procedures.
- Relevant education in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field (or working towards such qualifications) is an advantage.
- Driving license required.
