What does a Recruitment Consultant do?
You will be coached by your mentor and trained to effectively manage the full 360 recruitment life-cycle. This involves:
- Building a client portfolio of businesses within your specialist market and area.
- Managing a database of top-calibre professional candidates.
- Identifying opportunities within the marketplace.
- Generating leads and developing relationships.
- Working with all parties to deliver a professional, tailored experience for clients and candidates alike.

What would a career at Wayman Group look like?
It’s very much a meritocracy here — the rate you earn and progress is entirely down to you. Not afraid of hard work? Good! You will certainly be rewarded for it.

1st Year:
- Receive 1:1 mentoring from one of Wayman Group’s top performers.
- Ability to earn commission on top of your salary from Day One.
- Most consultants will look to earn around £35-50k.
- 2 promotions in their first year.

2nd Year:
- Solid performers promoted to at least Senior Consultant.
- Huge salary increase.
- Expect earnings between £50-65k.

3rd Year:
- Consistent billers moving into proactive team management, leading and growing a team of 1-4 consultants.
- Can alternatively focus solely on billing.
- Earnings pool between £65k-£80k; top performers exceed this.

4th Year:
- Earns £80k+, progressing toward 6-figure earnings.
- Leading a team of 4-8 people.
- Enrolled in the 2-year Leadership and Development Programme.
- Some individuals may achieve Associate Director level.
