Trainee Recruitment Consultant Location: Manchester City Centre Salary: £26k + Uncapped Commission
Overview A highly regarded, specialist legal recruitment firm is seeking ambitious, driven individuals to join its growing Manchester team as Trainee Recruitment Consultants.

The Opportunity The Trainee Recruitment Consultant will join a high-performing, supportive team and receive tailored, hands-on training designed to develop them into a fully-fledged Recruitment Consultant.
Initially, the role will focus on candidate sourcing, market research, and supporting senior consultants, before progressing into a more client-facing, revenue-generating position.
Key Responsibilities Candidate Sourcing & Networking Identify and engage high-calibre legal professionals across the UK, from Paralegals through to Senior Solicitors Utilise a range of tools including LinkedIn, job boards, and proactive headhunting techniques Build and maintain a strong network of legal talent

Talent Engagement Conduct screening calls to assess candidate experience, motivations, and suitability Develop long-term relationships with candidates, acting as a trusted career advisor
Market Intelligence Research the legal recruitment market, including competitor activity and hiring trends Identify potential business opportunities and provide insights to senior consultants
Client & Process Support Assist with drafting job advertisements and preparing client materials Support the early stages of the recruitment lifecycle Coordinate interviews and manage candidate expectations throughout the process
Administration & CRM Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system Ensure efficient organisation of candidate and client information
Training & Development Structured, bespoke training programme from day one Ongoing mentorship from experienced, high-performing consultants Clear progression pathway into a 360 Recruitment Consultant role Continuous development of sales, negotiation, and market expertise

Key Attributes: Highly motivated, ambitious, and target-driven Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone Resilient, persistent, and comfortable handling rejection Commercially aware with a natural interest in sales and business Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Background: Degree-educated or with relevant experience in sales, recruitment, or a customer-facing role Experience in B2B or target-driven environments is advantageous but not essential
