Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Milk Education | Manchester
£26,000 Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission
Monday to Friday | 7:15am starts during term time

Whether you're looking to start your recruitment career or you're coming from a teaching background and want to stay within education in a different capacity, we'd love to hear from you. A background as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Tutor would be a real advantage, giving you valuable insight into the challenges schools face and helping you build strong relationships with both schools and candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll begin your career as a 180 Recruitment Consultant, where you'll focus on sourcing outstanding education professionals, building relationships and developing a strong candidate network.

As your confidence and experience grow, you'll progress into a 360 Recruitment Consultant, managing your own client portfolio, developing business opportunities and building a successful recruitment desk.

Recruitment is fast-paced, rewarding and sales-driven. You'll spend your day speaking with candidates and schools, building relationships, solving problems and working towards achievable targets. If you're motivated by success and enjoy working in a busy environment, you'll fit right in.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Source and interview candidates across Primary, Secondary and SEND education.
  • Build lasting relationships with education professionals.
  • Match great candidates with exciting opportunities in schools.
  • Speak with schools and introduce the services Milk Education can offer.
  • Manage candidate availability and recruitment pipelines.
  • Work towards individual and team KPIs.
  • Keep our CRM updated with candidate activity.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.

What We're Looking For

  • A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and driven to succeed.
  • Target-focused with a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail or another people-focused role is a bonus—but not essential.
