Education/ Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- GCSE level grades A-C in Maths and English Language or equivalent
Desirable Criteria
- Diabetic Eye Screening Qualification or working towards
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential Criteria
- Able to work in a busy clinical environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Polite telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills
- Caring, friendly disposition.
- Patient and understanding.
- Clear and legible writing skills
- Good team player
- Comfortable taking individual responsibility but aware limits of competence
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in challenging situations
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Experience of using electronic systems.
- Experience of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent keyboard skills
- Knowledge of Fundus camera equipment
- Ability to prioritise workload to tight deadlines without supervision and on own initiative

Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of working within a patient-facing clinical environment
- Knowledge of diabetic retinopathy screening pathway

- Current and full manual driving license held at time of interview
