Trainee Roofer
Trainee Roofer – Abingdon
Manpower Recruitment are partnering with a leading construction company near Abingdon to recruit for a Trainee Roofer role.
About the Role
This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday, 07:30 AM–4:00 PM) with a competitive salary range of £27,000–£28,620 per annum, depending on experience.
Essential requirements:
- A valid driving licence
- CSCS card
A roofer is a skilled tradesperson responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on commercial and residential buildings. Working at heights, this role requires patience, focus, and strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Roofers perform a variety of tasks, including:
- Repairing and maintaining existing roofs using materials such as slate, concrete, tiles, and other specialist surfaces
- Conducting thatching or repairs on old roofing materials
- Filling leaks with appropriate sealants or cement
- Installing solar panels and insulation systems
- Assessing project timelines and budgets for client approval
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly when working at height
- Inspecting roofs for weather damage
- Restocking tools and materials
