Trainee Sales Manager – Nottingham City Centre
Full-Time | Career Growth | Immediate Start
We're seeking motivated, outgoing individuals to join our Nottingham city centre team as a Trainee Sales Manager. If you're competitive, social, and looking to increase your earnings beyond typical entry-level roles, this could be for you.
What You’ll Receive:
- Expected first-year earnings between £28,000–£32,000 OTE (Uncapped Earnings)
- Clear progression structure: begin in customer service and sales support, then advance into senior sales and management within 6–12 months based on performance
- Competitive basic pay with uncapped commission, bonuses, and performance incentives
- Comprehensive training from day one, plus ongoing one-to-one mentoring
- A vibrant, social, and fast-paced working environment
- Recognition schemes, rewards, and travel opportunities for high achievers
Your Role:
This is a face-to-face sales role involving residential and business customer interactions. You’ll start in our Sales division, gaining hands-on experience in how we represent leading energy-sector clients and drive customer acquisitions. You’ll be learning how to pitch products and confidently guide customers through switching services using our proven sales system.
You’ll be actively engaging with customers through both residential and business campaigns (B2C & B2B), building rapport, handling objections, and contributing directly to sales performance and targets. As you develop, you’ll move into more advanced sales responsibilities—closing deals consistently, mentoring new starters, and taking ownership of results. From there, you’ll progress into leadership, managing your own team, running campaigns, and driving overall performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
