Job Opportunity: Trainee Service Manager
Contract & Location
- Position: Full-time, permanent
- Located: DST Leconfield (Base + RAF Fylingdales & RRH Staxton Wold), with access to satellite sites
- Work Schedule: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £27,000 – £30,000

Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Operations: Oversee day-to-day management of military accommodation and facilities, supporting essential services and ensuring smooth operations.
- Compliance & Standards: Develop an understanding of JSP 375 compliance frameworks and SFG20 preventative maintenance structures—critical for military environments.
- CAFM Systems: Gain expertise in MAXIMO for managing work orders, tracking assets, and supporting forward planning.
- Project Delivery: Contribute to small-scale projects, learning project management, legal compliance, and CDM regulations in action.
- Health & Safety: Foster a positive safety culture by engaging with teams, contractors, and stakeholders to uphold high standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Forge professional relationships with military personnel, supply chain partners, and contractors to resolve challenges collaboratively.
Requirements
- Motivation & Mindset: Demonstrated enthusiasm for a long-term career in facilities management, curiosity, and a proactive attitude.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work as part of a cohesive, fast-paced team.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for organizational, regulatory, and procedural details.
- Educational Foundation: Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). Further qualifications or relevant experience is advantageous.
