The Opportunity
We're looking for our next intake of Trainee Solicitors undertaking the SQE route to qualification to join our team in late September 2026.
This intake will include full-time roles in the following practice areas:
- Corporate
- Commercial
There will be no rotations - you will be hired directly into a practice group on a two year fixed term contract. When submitting your application, please indicate your preferred practice area/s.
Successful candidates must be available to commence full time work in our Manchester office by 28 September 2026.
You will receive comprehensive formal and on-the-job training focused on technical legal knowledge, matter management, and client service and meeting professional obligations, to give you a strong understanding of the legal needs of our commercial clients, and to meet the requirements of your Qualifying Work Experience. We are able to explore permanent NQ roles for Trainees who become admitted after a minimum of 18 months in the team.

What You'll Be Doing
Under the supervision of our Practice Leaders and Senior Associates, a typical day may include (among other things, and depending on your practice area):
- Corporate: Assisting clients with business structuring, incorporating companies, shareholder agreements, articles of association, corporate governance and employee share option schemes
- Commercial: Drafting, reviewing and advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including website terms and conditions, privacy policies, supply agreements, SaaS agreements; advising on consumer law, privacy and other regulatory compliance obligations
- Providing oral and written advice to clients on a broad range of legal matters, including as part of our industry leading Legal Advice Consultation service.
- Utilising cutting edge technology to provide commercial pragmatic legal advice within impressive turnaround times.
- Contributing to our online library of informative articles and publications.

The Ideal Candidate
- Eligible: You are a SQE qualification pathway candidate and you have at a minimum successfully completed your SQE1 assessment (or equivalent)
- Wants to do things differently and isn't the average trainee: You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are keen to grow as a solicitor in an innovative environment
- Tech savvy: You're excited to use cutting-edge technology and can quickly get your head around new systems
- Passionate about the client experience: You are focused on your clients and you're dedicated to creating experiences that exceed client expectations
- Personable, empathetic and resilient: You are friendly, warm and professional. You celebrate the ups, and push through and learn from the downs
- Cool and calm under pressure: You are an organised and efficient worker, and can effectively manage competing priorities
