Trainee Store Manager

Trainee Store Manager – Crystal Peaks, Sheffield

Here at Deichmann, we are looking to appoint a Trainee Store Manager in our Crystal Peaks store in Sheffield.

You will:

  • Join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
  • Receive an initial salary of £30,500 per annum.

Initially based in the Crystal Peaks store, following training, you will support and manage stores either on a planned or ad-hoc basis across the following locations:

  • Sheffield
  • Rotherham
  • Chesterfield
  • Mansfield

About the Role

This is a truly exciting opportunity for an ambitious and career-driven Team Member or Supervisor who is eager to progress into Store Management.

During your training, you will:

  • Undergo first-class training and development.
  • Support stores both planned and ad-hoc, potentially progressing to Cover Manager upon completion of training.
  • Have the potential to eventually become Store Manager of your own store.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Must be fully flexible with travel, as the role will involve working across multiple stores.
  • Previous retail or related sector experience.
  • Ability to problem-solve, think on your feet, and adapt quickly.
  • Strong people skills with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to plan, coordinate resources, and manage teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Coaching:

    • Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service.
    • Lead by example in promoting shoe care products with confidence and expertise.
  • Operations & Administration:

    • Manage resourcing and rota planning while adhering to budgetary constraints.
    • Oversee stock management and ensure optimal inventory levels.
    • Interpret sales performance data and intelligence to drive improvements.

  • Performance & Compliance:

    • Ensure all company standards (merchandising, administration, KPIs) are upheld.
