This is an excellent opportunity for a student seeking a placement year as part of their property or real estate-related degree. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced and supportive professionals across a range of departments, contributing to live projects and developing a broad understanding of general practice surveying.
The placement will provide a strong foundation for your future career in the industry, offering practical experience and exposure to a wide variety of property sectors and professional disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the team with property viewings, inspections, and enquiries.
- Assisting with commercial agency instructions, including marketing, viewings, and reporting.
- Conducting market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and comparable evidence.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, client updates, and marketing materials.
- Providing general administrative support to the General Practice team.
- Liaising with clients, prospective tenants, purchasers, and professional contacts under the guidance of senior team members.
- Supporting negotiations and transactions within the commercial property market.
- Undertaking a variety of tasks and responsibilities as required by the needs of the team.

Person Specification / Competencies
- Currently studying for a property, real estate, or related degree (placement year).
- Strong interest in pursuing a career within General Practice surveying.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
- Confident using Microsoft Office; familiarity with property databases is beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
