Trainee Technical Account Manager
Trainee Technical Account Manager – Cross Hands Site
Location: Cross Hands Department: Food Safety & Quality
An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, career-focused individual to join Dunbia’s Food Safety & Quality team, supporting key UK retailers while advancing their professional development.
About the Role
As a Trainee Technical Account Manager, this role offers personal growth, dynamic responsibility, and the chance to drive customer relationship initiatives while collaborating with a high-performing Technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively between customers and the company to deliver Food Safety & Quality requirements across technical and wider site functions.
- Develop strong relationships with both customers and site teams to position Dunbia as the supplier of choice.
- Uphold the integrity of the company through positive, constructive actions and professional conduct.
- Represent the Food Safety & Quality department at customer meetings, including development gate meetings, technical reviews, and product assessments.
- Coordinate and host customer visits and audits, managing follow-up actions effectively.
- Liaise with the New Product Development team to address food safety aspects of new product launches.
- Track and improve KPIs through targeted actions with site teams.
- Review primary packaging artwork (sleeves, labels) to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
- Manage raw material & finished product specifications and factory quality attribute sheets.
- Conduct product assessments to ensure adherence to agreed standards.

As a candidate, you must:
- Have 1+ years of experience in the food industry (preferred).
- Hold a qualification in science, food science, or a related discipline at a higher education level.
- Understand retailer expectations and operational environments.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills for managing multiple projects.
- Possess knowledge of food science, legal labelling, audit requirements, and technical specifications.
- Confidently engage with customers and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
- Excel in both written and verbal communication across all levels.
- Be able to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Be proactive in expanding knowledge beyond core experience.
Additional requirements:
- Full and valid UK driving licence.
