We’re looking for a Trainee Technical Area Sales Manager to join our Professional Team.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the sale of professional growing media, bark, and fertilisers
- Building relationships with commercial growers and distributor networks
- Learning how to identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
- Assisting in providing technical advice and solutions to customers
- Working alongside experienced sales and technical teams
- Attending customer visits, trade shows, and industry events
- Supporting reporting, sales analysis, and regional performance tracking
- Gathering market insights and sharing with the wider team
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong interest in horticulture, agriculture, or a related sector
- Some customer-facing or commercial experience (sales, retail, or similar)
- A degree/diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Soil/Plant Science (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, driven attitude with a willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
