Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Trainee Window Installer role based in Hartlip. The trainee will assist experienced installers with the fitting of windows, doors, conservatories, and related glazing products at domestic and commercial properties. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Preparing materials and tools
  • Loading and unloading products
  • Helping remove old fittings
  • Supporting the installation, sealing, and finishing of new units

The role also involves:

  • Following safety procedures
  • Maintaining a clean work area
  • Interacting professionally with customers and team members

As skills progress, the trainee will take on more responsibility in measuring, fitting, and quality-checking installations.

Requirements

  • Ideally 21+
  • Full UK driving license and access to transport are essential
  • Basic practical or trade skills, with the ability to use hand and power tools safely and accurately
  • Good manual handling capability and physical fitness suitable for lifting, carrying, and working at heights
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow instructions and technical diagrams
  • Reliable timekeeping, positive attitude, and commitment to working as part of a team on-site
  • Clear communication skills and professional conduct when dealing with customers and colleagues

Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or glazing is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
