Trainee Workshop/Fleet Administrator
We are actively looking for a motivated individual seeking an opportunity to start their career in a transport-related environment. We have a vacancy within our HGV workshop for a Trainee Workshop/Fleet Administrator. This is an entry-level role, and full training will be provided. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping keep our Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) fleet safe, compliant, and ready for the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn how to support the Workshop Manager with daily planning and workshop administration.
- Assist with record-keeping, spreadsheets, data entry, filing, and general office administration.
- Help update technician job cards and workshop records accurately.
- Support the booking of MOTs, vehicle services, and routine maintenance once trained.
- Learn how to use the fleet management system to record vehicle defects, tyre information, and other fleet data.
- Assist with coordinating vehicle breakdown information and passing updates to the relevant team members.
- Support general vehicle administration and help keep records up to date.
- Learn about HGV fleet compliance, company procedures, and industry requirements as part of your training.
- Work closely with the workshop, transport, and administration teams to support vehicle availability and scheduling.

Person Specification
- Highly organised, with excellent communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a can-do mindset.
- Positive attitude with a genuine interest in the transport industry with a particular interest in HGVs.

Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, we serve projects across London and the Home Counties, building long-term relationships through consistent, trusted service.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
