Job Summary
The Trainer/Assessor delivers high-quality training and assessments across St John Ambulance, ensuring learners receive a professional, engaging, and consistent experience.
This role supports the organisation’s mission by:
- Delivering accredited courses compliant with awarding body requirements
- Maintaining high standards of compliance, safety, and learner satisfaction
- Promoting products and services
- Supporting continuous improvement
- Upholding the reputation for excellent training delivery
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training courses and assessments at a consistently high standard
- Ensure alignment with St John Ambulance policies and awarding body requirements
- Prepare training environments and ensure materials meet high standards
- Engage learners effectively and complete all documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain equipment in safe, functional, and compliant condition

Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with permanent staff, casual workers, and volunteers
- Foster strong relationships and uphold high standards across training delivery
- Promote St John Ambulance products and services
- Contribute to new initiatives and drive continuous improvement
Professional Development & Compliance
- Maintain professional competence and standards of delivery
- Participate in health and safety training, including First Aid and Fire Marshal duties
- Embrace a proactive approach to continuous skill development
