The vacancy
Are you an experienced professional in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning looking to inspire the next generation of engineers? DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Trainer/Assessor to deliver high-quality work-based learning programmes, support apprentices, and contribute to curriculum development in this vital sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your industry expertise with a passion for education, working closely with learners and employers to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess work-based learning in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting their progress and wellbeing.
- Conduct health and safety monitoring visits and ensure employer risk assessments are in place.
- Support curriculum development and contribute to bespoke training solutions.
- Maintain accurate learner tracking and assessment records in line with college and GDPR requirements.
Essential Criteria
- Recognised qualifications in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (preferably gained via an apprenticeship).
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Practical industry experience in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning.
- Ability to motivate and inspire apprentices, with strong communication and organisational skills.
