Description

It would be a 10.5 hour shift, 4 days per week

  • Monday to Thursday and Tuesday to Friday.
  • Day shift 0730 - 1800
  • Nights 1800 - 0430

It will be up to you to make sure they have the skills and knowledge to stay safe, be efficient, and enjoy plenty of professional growth at Amazon – potentially becoming one of our future leaders. You’ll work with people at every stage of their career, from new hires to managers.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and coaching to Amazon’s standard
  • Deliver internal Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training to Amazon standards
  • Review and improve site-training completion rates together with managers and associates
  • Gather feedback and highlight areas where there are opportunities to streamline or improve the training experience
  • Work with teams to identify areas where further training and development is needed
  • Help to audit metrics such as safety, quality, and process across sites
  • Train and coach associates to become ambassadors who can help deliver coaching and training to local teams
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and update Learning tracking systems
  • Monitor and provide feedback on current group of PIT operators
  • Report on safety performance of PIT operators and use the information to improve the effectiveness of our training
  • Undertake auditing of safety standards and procedures throughout the FC
  • Advise Associates and Managers on Company procedures regarding PIT safety, training and standards

A day in the life

The role of Trainer is about sharing and upholding our process standards. You’ll deliver high-quality training that outlines safety, culture, and site-specific procedures to Amazon employees as well as external partners, along with a warm welcome for new hires. As a Trainer, you’ll make sure everyone sticks to the highest operating standards. You’ll know how to constructively deliver feedback that helps learners grow and develop.

You’ll be based on-site at one of our operational facilities, delivering in-person and online training to the team across a variety of shift patterns. You may also support other sites when required. You’ll work independently but will regularly liaise with key site staff and stakeholders.

About The Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
  • CAT 1 PIT trainer license
  • Relevant experience of using clear communication including evidence of delivering training groups and creating corresponding communications and training materials
  • Advanced proficiency in [insert the local language] (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)
