As a Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and support that enables learners to develop the skills they need for adulthood. You will plan and deliver engaging, person-centred learning experiences that promote independence, communication, health and wellbeing, community inclusion and employability, while recognising and celebrating every learner's individual achievements.

Working collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and other professionals, you will create an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.

The Vine is a specialist provision within Leeds City College, supporting young people aged 16–25 with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism and a wide range of complex learning, physical, sensory and medical needs. We are looking for a passionate, motivated and creative Trainer to join our dedicated team.

Please note, this is a reduced year role. You will work 39 weeks per year. The pro rata'd salary for this role is £25,214 with progression to £26,694.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of learners with complex SEND.

  • Work closely with Learning Support Assistants to ensure high-quality support is consistently provided and create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes learner wellbeing and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and nursing teams.
  • Support learners to develop communication, functional English and maths, independent living skills and employability skills through meaningful real-life experiences.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
