About The Role
We are seeking a Training Administrator to provide high-quality, accurate, and timely administrative support to the delivery of training and competence provision across Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D). Working in partnership with the Regional Training Manager and Training Co-ordinators, the role supports the management of training plans, competence compliance, and the end-to-end training lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives, statutory requirements, and Balfour Beatty governance.
The role will be based at our Head Office in Maxim Business Park, operating on a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home, subject to business needs and agreement with the line manager.
Please note you may be required to travel to other sites as part of this role
What you'll be doing
- Process training requests and bookings accurately, ensuring records are complete, compliant, and maintained in line with company and awarding body requirements.
- Issue joining instructions to delegates in a timely manner, in line with agreed training schedules and business targets.
- Support the end-to-end administration of the training lifecycle, ensuring activities are delivered accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Work collaboratively with Training Co-ordinators and Administrators to ensure training requests are clearly understood, correctly actioned, and delivered on time.
- Maintain effective communication with operational teams, training teams, and key stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely issue resolution.
- Liaise with external training providers and awarding bodies as required.
- Monitor and support training-related service level agreements (SLAs), escalating issues where appropriate.
- Represent the Training function professionally at all times, promoting company and departmental values.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the training and competence function.
- Maintain personal competence through relevant continuing professional development and undertake additional duties, as required, to support business needs.

Who we're looking for
Essential
- Knowledge of a training administration environment and awarding body working methodologies.
- Strong IT skills, with competence in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of industry-specific training requirements (e.g. EUSR, CAA, City & Guilds, CPCS).
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
- Full Driving Licence
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- CIPD/CPD accreditation (or equivalent).
- Operational experience within construction or utilities.
