Training and Competence Coordinator

Training and Competence Co-ordinator
Full-time permanent position required to join the team. The Training and Competence Co-ordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training and competence programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support training needs analysis, collaborating with department heads to identify skill gaps and establish training requirements.
- Develop and coordinate training and competency matrices to address identified needs, ensuring employees remain suitably qualified.
- Create and manage training schedules, ensuring alignment with resource availability and timely delivery of programs.
- Monitor and administer the ECITB Member Portal, optimising cost-effective use of levy support.
- Liaise with training providers to guarantee high-quality training delivery, resolving any operational or logistical issues.
- Coordinate required competence assessments to ensure employees meet regulatory and job-specific standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and relevance of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all training and competence activities comply with legal, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute training and competence activity reports to senior management and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities within the organisation and training processes for continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 3 or comparable qualification, or equivalent significant experience in training coordination (preferably within the energy sector).
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of training and competence frameworks, standards (e.g., energy sector-specific regulations).
- Project Management Skills: Strong ability to oversee projects, manage deadlines, and maintain meticulous detail.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Must excel in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving.
- Workload Management: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
- Technical Competence: Experience in monitoring and updating Training and Competency Management Systems (e.g., OnBoard Tracker) and associated tools, including data analysis and reporting.
