Training and Events Coordinator

About the Role

At Siemens Mobility, we believe our people are the cornerstone of our success. We’re committed to nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment where every team member can thrive. Join our global community, where your growth and development are as important as our shared mission to innovate and transform the rail industry.

We are currently recruiting for a Training and Events Coordinator to join our Education and Skills team at the Siemens Mobility Goole site, providing effective and efficient training and event administration service for Siemens Mobility and Education and Skills.

The Training and Events Coordinator will:

  • Maintain the integrity of training and safety-critical competency assessment records and filing systems.
  • Input data into computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and specialised software.
  • Handle customer and business queries via telephone and email (general enquiries, sales, payments, and invoicing).
  • Manage the Academy's day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training courses and events to meet external business, individual, departmental, and company requirements.

Siemens Mobility’s UKI Central Functions provide the necessary strategic support for innovative transportation solutions across the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

You’ll contribute to success by:

  • Working closely with Senior Management to develop, manage, and deliver training plans and calendars for Siemens Mobility and NTAR.
  • Using relevant business systems to coordinate and manage all training events—ensuring trainers, resources, and equipment are in place.
  • Handling training requisitions, managing joining instructions, completion certificates, and ensuring course content availability for download.
  • Handling general bookings, pre-event queries, and social media support.
  • Processing payment enquiries (PO and Card) and taking necessary telephone payments, then updating systems with payment details.
  • Ensuring all required event resources (setup, AV equipment, consumables) are available.
  • Supervising maintenance teams to guarantee correct classroom layouts.
  • Welcoming delegates, managing sign-offs, and addressing on-the-day queries.
  • Consigning delegate entry and parking arrangements.
  • Co-ordinating tea/coffee refreshments, lunch catering, and room refreshment clearance.
  • Capturing and reporting learner and stakeholder satisfaction data.
  • Conducting research for external suppliers and sourcing cost-effective solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
