Our team is predominately based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.

Position:

We are the mountain people and we’re looking for a Training and Events Lead to help shape the future of one of the world’s most respected outdoor brands.

As a Rab ambassador you will be responsible for delivering the best in market product training to key retail partners across the UK, raising product and brand knowledge to drive effective sell through. The role also includes managing retail training events and supporting the UK marketing team on tradeshows and consumer events.

The position involves regular travel, as well as frequent visits to the Equip head office in Alfreton. It also involves weekend work at training courses and events, both trade and consumer facing.

  • Take full ownership of delivering engaging and effective product training to key retail accounts
  • Support the management, rollout, and distribution of Rab Lab Academy (retail training platform) across key accounts and independent retailers
  • Assist with the installation of retail marketing campaigns, including window displays and in-store activation areas
  • Gather and share retail insights and feedback, including stock reporting, product performance/issues, competitor analysis etc
  • Lead the planning, setup, and attendance of 10–12 events per year, including UK training events and industry trade shows (e.g. Outdoor Trade Show, Outdoor & Social, Slide Winter Trade Show)
  • Support UK trade shows in collaboration with the UK Marketing Manager
  • Attend and support consumer facing events (e.g. Kendal Mountain Festival), including weekend working where required

Requirements:

To join us as Training and Events Lead you must have:

Essential

  • Proven experience in event management, including planning, organisation, and on-the-day delivery
  • Some demonstrable experience within the outdoor or retail industry, with strong product knowledge
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when required
  • Hold a full, current UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a marketing role, including campaign support or brand promotion
  • Experience working in a training, coaching, or educator capacity, delivering product or skills-based training
