About The Role

The Natural History Museum is seeking a proactive and collaborative Training & Capacity Manager to lead the development and delivery of a national training and capacity-building programme for DiSSCo UK. Working with the DiSSCo UK Digitisation Team, Programme Delivery Management Office and partner organisations across the UK, you will design and deliver training, guidance and support that builds sustainable digitisation capability across a network of regional hubs. The role will focus on developing blended learning resources, delivering online and face-to-face training, supporting train-the-trainer initiatives, and promoting the adoption of programme tools, platforms and workflows. You will also contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, helping to demonstrate the impact of training and capacity-building across the programme. This is a three-year fixed-term position based within the Museum’s Digital, Data and Informatics Department, with hybrid working and regular travel across the UK.

About You

We are looking for an experienced learning and development professional with a strong track record of designing and delivering engaging training programmes for diverse audiences. You will be a confident communicator, skilled at translating complex information into accessible learning experiences and building effective relationships across multiple organisations and stakeholder groups. Comfortable working in collaborative and matrix environments, you will have experience of blended learning, train-the-trainer delivery, and using feedback and evidence to improve training outcomes. Highly organised and proactive, you will be able to manage competing priorities while contributing positively to a supportive and ambitious programme team.

We operate a hybrid working model that requires regular, weekly attendance for this role, with the precise pattern of days on site and worked from home to be agreed with your manager.
