TRAINING CAPTAIN - NEW NIKE LONDON FLAGSHIP

Start Date: October 2026

The Training Captain role is an in-the-field extension of the EMEA Athlete Service & Training team (AS&T). As a Training Captain, you are responsible for igniting a culture of service and selling, as well as developing the operational acumen needed to create world-class standards, productivity, and performance with the support of ISTs from your cluster of stores.

As a Training Captain you report directly into your league Director – Store Operations & Training, with day-to-day coaching from the Senior Training Captain. You partner closely with Retail Directors, Head Coaches, In-Store Trainers, and the EMEA Athlete Service & Training Team.

What You Will Work On

  • You will execute training strategies to drive Nike Stores’ priorities through your network of In-Store Trainers (IST’s).
  • You will support the training rollout of Service initiatives.
  • You will plan and scale Training Community activations across Athlete Onboardings, Seasonal Game Time, Service initiatives, and Value Drops. You will deliver this in close partnership with the League’s Senior Training Captain.
  • You will partner with your store leadership team to build a strong and diverse team of In-Store Trainers for your departments.
  • You will coach and support the development of the ISTs in close collaboration with their Head Coach.
  • You will drive improved store performance within the key measures of success across training, service & operations. You will monitor and recap the completion & success of program launches within the London Flagship ensuring a high level of uptake and retention.
  • Where required, you will deliver store onboardings, team trainings on Nike brand standards in stores.

Who We Are Looking For

In order to be successful as a Training Captain, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Passionate about Sport, Retail, and Training.
  • Multiple years of relevant experience in store people management / team lead roles supervising direct and indirect teams.
  • A strong team player, with demonstrated ability to manage your own schedule and work independently.
  • Able to create cross-functional partnerships within your own league and Geo Teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and local languages.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and delivering high-impact presentations.
  • Capable of inspiring, engaging, and influencing teammates.
  • Ability to communicate key training initiatives as aligned to business priorities with clarity and confidence.
