I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Ydych chi’n drefnus iawn, yn canolbwyntio ar bobl, ac yn angerddol am ddarparu cefnogaeth hyfforddi o ansawdd uchel? Mae Stori yn chwilio am Cydlynydd Hyfforddiant i ddarparu cefnogaeth weinyddol a chydweithredol effeithlon, ymatebol a phroffesiynol ar draws ein rhaglenni hyfforddi.
Mae hon yn rôl amrywiol a gwerth chweil lle byddwch yn gweithredu fel pwynt cyswllt canolog ar gyfer dysgwyr, hyfforddwyr, comisiynwyr a chwsmeriaid—gan sicrhau bod gweithgareddau hyfforddi’n rhedeg yn esmwyth a bod dysgwyr yn cael profiad ardderchog.
Er mai rôl hybrid yw hon (ar hyn o bryd 60% yn y swyddfa a 40% yn gweithio o gartref), gan fod Stori ond yn gweithredu yng Nghymru, dylech fod wedi’ch lleoli yng Nghymru. Gallwch fod wedi’ch lleoli mewn unrhyw swyddfa Stori (Caerfyrddin, Abertawe, Pont-y-pŵl, Wrecsam neu Fangor).
Rhaid i ymgeiswyr feddu ar drwydded yrru lawn a chael mynediad at gerbyd, gan y bydd angen teithio ledled Cymru.
Rhaid i ymgeiswyr allu profi eu hawl i weithio yn y DU (nid ydym yn cynnig fisa nawdd).
