Training, Compliance & Safety Officer – Hatchery, Ower (Hampshire)
Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE + £2,204.28 Saturday allowance
Hours:
- Monday: 06:00 – 15:30 (9hrs)
- Tuesday: 06:00 – 15:30 (9hrs)
- Wednesday: 06:00 – 10:00 (4hrs)
- Friday: 06:00 – 15:30 (9hrs)
- Saturday: 06:00 – 15:30 (9hrs)

Your Role
We’re looking for a proactive and safety-focused Training, Compliance & Safety Officer to join our Agriculture team at the Ower Hatchery.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring site compliance with health & safety and training standards, including:
- Supporting audits, developing procedures, and conducting risk assessments
- Onboarding new staff & conducting training sessions, including toolbox talks
- Monitoring ongoing training needs and competency reviews
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and review risk assessments and procedures
- Lead site inspections and compliance reporting
- Support incident investigations and audits
- Manage hygiene and training standards
- Deliver on-site training and conduct competency reviews
- Liaise with other safety officers to share best practices

What You’ll Need
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- IOSH qualification
- Experience delivering training
- Experience in auditing & understanding of safety regulations
Preferred & Additional Preferences:
- NEBOSH qualification
- Internal auditing experience
- Experience in agriculture or similar environments
