🔧 Electrical Engineer

🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Job Description
We’re looking for Electrical Engineers to join us as Academic Instructors, helping to train and develop the next generation of engineers supporting the UK’s defence capability as part of Project Selborne – more details here: Royal Navy education & training Selborne | Careers at Capita

What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver classroom-based electrical engineering instruction
- Support learners through theory, problem-solving, and practical understanding
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Continuously develop your own instructional and technical skills
- Contribute to a professional, supportive learning environment
You’ll be fully trained and supported to succeed as an instructor — we’ll teach you how to teach.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- Graduate Electrical Engineers
- Time-served electricians or electrical engineers
- Engineers from industrial, manufacturing, defence, utilities, or maintenance backgrounds

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata’d and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
